DECEMBER
HSVRWC is excited to ring in the New Year with exciting club activities in our future as we get ready to honor our Nation’s 250th Anniversary, otherwise known as the United States Semiquincentennial! We hope everyone has a safe and Happy New Year’s Eve.

Hot Springs Village Republican Women invites you to attend its Thursday, December 18th meeting. At this month’s meeting, we are featuring three Republican/Conservative candidates running in the upcoming Primary Elections. Early voting for the Primary Elections begins February 16 – March 2, with the Primary Election day being March 3. Remember, each vote counts when selecting the best candidates to represent you in the November ’26 General Election.
Our speakers for December are: AR State Senator Kim Hammer, seeking the office of AR Secretary of State; Justin Nicklas, Garland County Coroner; Richard Friend, Saline County Sheriff.
HSVRW’s meetings are important and consequential for educating voters about the Republican/Conservative candidates appearing on 2026 March Primary ballot. Voting in the Primary election is of upmost importance, perhaps even more so than the General Election in November of 2026. Don’t miss this month’s meeting and all upcoming meetings to learn and become an educated primary voter.
This year there are a number of primary races containing two or more Republican/Conservative candidates. In compliance with AFRW and HSVRW bylaws governing support of Republican/Conservative candidates running in Primary Elections, HSVRW cannot support any one Republican/Conservative candidate who has another Republican/Conservative candidate vying for the same position in the primary election.
Therefore, HSVRW strives to educate voters about the primary candidates. It’s then the responsibility of you the voter to elect the most qualified candidate to represent you in the General Election scheduled for November 2026. Educated voters cast educated votes. In addition to featuring three candidate speakers, we are excited to be installing the 2026-27 elected HSVRW Board of Directors. Don’t miss this important opportunity to congratulate and welcome your outstanding board members!

After retiring from his 37-year career with UPS, Hale and his wife, Mary Ann, moved to the Village thinking they could rest, relax and enjoy retirement life. But fate had a little different plan for them.
In less than three months after becoming Villagers, Kelly became the General Manager of HSV. With his years of experience in management and leadership, he shephered us through many complex and demanding times. From ice and snow storms, legal issues, people development and destructive tornadoes, he never faltered in his responsibilities and love for HSV. As of December 31, Mr. Hale will retire once again. Come hear him speak and join us in wishing him a wonderful, happy and healthy retirement.

Thursday, July 21 – In place of the regular monthly meeting of HSVRW, we will be showing the movie “2,000 Mules,” a documentary film created and produced by Dinesh D’ Souza. This movie exposes widespread, coordinated voter fraud in the 2020 election, sufficient to change the overall outcome. Based on research provided by the election integrity group True the Vote, the documentary offers evidence of two types of ballot harvesting: geotracking and video. This 90-minute film depicts the results of investigated alleged voter fraud in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. While some media sources have called this documentary fraudulent, come view the movie and make your own decision. The movie will be shown in the auditorium of the Coronado Center at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 21. Seating will be first come, first served. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO BRING A BEVERAGE AND SNACK, IF DESIRED. HSVRW will not be providing beverages or snacks at this event. Bring a friend/neighbor with you to view this important movie. Thursday, January 20:
Three Republican candidates will be at the podium Thursday, January 20 at the regular monthly meeting of the Hot Springs Village Republican Women’s Club at 10 a.m. in the Ouachita Room at the Woodlands Center. Arrive at 9:45 to meet candidates informally and share coffee and light refreshments.
Matt Mckee, Garland County Justice of the Peace since 2009, announced his candidacy in November 2021 for the newly drawn Arkansas Senate District 6 that encompasses Garland and Saline Counties. He is an outspoken advocate for limited government, conservative values, lower taxes, and personal freedoms. As a small business owner in Garland Country, McKee has pledged to remain “accessible and accountable” to the people of his district. He has served for seven years as the chairman of the Republican Party of Garland County. McLee lives with his wife and four daughters in Pearcy, Arkansas.
Tim Griffin, a candidate for Arkansas Attorney General, is serving his second term as the state’s lieutenant governor. His focus is on growing jobs through aggressive economic development, bold reformation in state government and a higher level of parental choice in education. During the Bush administration, he served as special assistant to the president and deputy director of political affairs in the White House. He is currently a colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve and has served for more than 25 years in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps. Griffin currently lives with his wife and three children in Little Rock, where he also serves on the board of Pathway to Freedom, a faith-based prison ministry.
The final candidate on the agenda is Gregory Bledsoe, MD, a board-certified emergency medicine physician and the current surgeon general for the state of Arkansas. He has been a chief adviser to Gov. Asa Hutchinson during the pandemic and is a candidate for the Republican nomination for lieutenant governor. He has cited his “private sector know-how” about how to get things done as one of the major reasons he is seeking the position, adding that he does not think political office should be a “revolving door” of the same names and faces. Dr. Bledsoe is the son of State Senator Cecile Bledsoe (R) of Rogers, and he believes that he is the most conservative candidate in the race.
