President’s Message

OCTOBER 2024

Hot Springs Village Republican Women’s Club is busy planning two amazing upcoming events.

The first event is Monday, October 14, “America First Rally and Fish Fry”; second, a focused event “Get Out the Educated Vote”. Both events will ensure Republicans winning the November 5th election! Come be a part of these great events.

HSVRW is holding its rally and fish fry on Monday, October 14, Columbus Day. All of the fun and activities begin at 4:00 P.M. in the beautiful Balboa Pavilion. Patriotic music will be provided by none other than “Marcus,” a Village favorite. There will be fun games, raffle, silent auction and delicious fried fish and chicken catered by Bubba’s of Hot Springs! All profits will go to support our local and state Republican Candidates in the upcoming November 5 general election. Tickets may be purchased at http://www.hsvticketsales.com or by calling Anita Allen (417) 559-8089.

It’s finally here — time to VOTE. Let’s get our Republican candidates and Conservative judges elected. HSVRW is sponsoring its “Get Out The Vote” campaign by asking Republican volunteers to greet voters as they arrive at the polling locations and hold signs of the recommended candidates at the two Village polling locations — Community Baptist Church on Hwy. 7 and Owensville Baptist Church on Hwy. 5. Our “Poll Greeters” will be at both locations during early voting and on Election Day. This campaign will take many volunteers. If you can spare two or more hours at either location during that time, your support will be much appreciated. Please email hsvrepublicanwomenclub@gmail.com. to sign up.

HSVRW will not have its regularly scheduled meeting in October. The “America First Rally and Fish Fry” will take the place of the regular meeting.

Important Note: HSVRW has been frequently asked about Republican men wanting to participate in Republican activities in the Village. Well, here’s your opportunity. Men are always welcome at our meetings and can join HSVRW as associate members. Currently we have more than 35 men as associate members. So, Men, come join us and participate in the events and projects of HSVRW. Help support our Republican candidates and platform.

SEPTEMBER 2024

As most of you are aware, there was a serious altercation at the Saline County Republican Committee meeting last week. While I was not in attendance, the video and firsthand details of this disgraceful and reprehensible conduct cannot and will not be tolerated. The elected officials of Saline County issued a letter to the Republican Party of Arkansas asking them to ask that the leadership of the Saline County Republican Committee be removed. Those officials include Saline County Judge Matt Brumley, Sheriff Rodney Wright and the 12 Saline County Justices of the Peace. Hot Springs Village Republican Women’s Club supports their letter and request. A copy of their letter is provided for your information. We as Republicans must stand firmly united against this type of behavior and disruption within our party.

Statement from ALL Saline County Elected Officials, Justices of the Peace, and Saline County Legislators

Last night’s Saline County Republican Committee meeting devolved into chaos, culminating in a physical altercation between two individuals, along with heated verbal exchanges among others throughout the room.

As the Republican Elected Officials of Saline County, we categorically reject not only the disgraceful actions of these individuals but also the toxic culture fostered by the leadership of the Saline County Republican Committee. This kind of behavior is not just divisive—it is a stain on our party and an insult to the values we stand for. It does NOT represent who we are as elected officials or as a county.

Saline County is a place where people take pride in living, working, and raising their families. Here, we come together to ensure positive change, and we work through our differences with meaningful conversations and mutual respect, not hostility. Ours is a county that values UNITY, integrity, and progress. It’s about the people—the hardworking, resilient individuals who make this community thrive.

For more than a year, the leadership of the Saline County Republican Committee has engaged in behavior that is shameful and embarrassing, eroding the respect our party and our community deserve. We will not tolerate this kind of reckless, unprofessional conduct any longer, nor will we allow a radical faction to tarnish the values we hold dear.

We call on the Republican Party of Arkansas to take immediate action to REMOVE this dysfunctional leadership and abolish the group that has betrayed our conservative principles, and portrayed our county in a deeply unfavorable light. Saline County deserves better—a Republican Committee that truly reflects strength, unity, and a commitment to the advancement of conservative values without selfish motives or agendas.

Your elected officials in Saline County are committed to serving the people with RESPECTDIGNITY, and PROFESSIONALISM. We represent a community that values cooperation and strives to create a brighter future for everyone. We will continue to lead in a way that puts the citizens we serve and the future of Saline County first.

Sincerely,
ALL Saline County Elected Officials, Justices of the Peace, and Saline County Legislators

ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR HSVRW MEMBERS AND FRIENDS

Hello!!

What a victorious day we had on June 24, with the U. S. Supreme Court reversing the 1973 Roe v. Wade abortion decision.  Our state’s Governor Hutchinson and Attorney General Rutledge announced just hours after the Supreme Court’s decision that abortion in Arkansas was officially prohibited except in rare cases when the mother’s life is in jeopardy.  This action returns the power back to the states on abortion decisions! Republicans celebrate!!

In addition to that remarkable victory, we have our own news to share.

Hot Springs Village Republican Women Upcoming Events:

Please mark your calendars… you don’t want to miss any of these important events.  Every Republican needs to be informed, involved and influential as we enter our primary election countdown.

  • July 21 – In place of the regular monthly meeting of HSVRW, we will be showing the movie “2,000 Mules,” a documentary film created and produced by Dinesh D’ Souza.  This movie exposes widespread, coordinated voter fraud in the 2020 election, sufficient to change the overall outcome.  Based on research provided by the election integrity group True the Vote, the documentary offers evidence of two types of ballot harvesting: geotracking and video.  This 90-minute film depicts the results of investigated alleged voter fraud in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.  While some media sources have called this documentary fraudulent, come view the movie and make your own decision.  The movie will be shown in the auditorium of the Coronado Center at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 21.  Seating will be first come, first served.  PLEASE FEEL FREE TO BRING A BEVERAGE AND SNACK, IF DESIRED.   HSVRW will not be providing beverages or snacks at this event.  Bring a friend/neighbor with you to view this important movie.  The event is FREE.
  • Mid-August – Be watching for the two Red Wave billboards messages; one on Hwy 5 East between the East Gate and Benton, and one of Hwy. 7 North, just past the new roundabout. The costs are substantial for these billboards, and we are having a “Billboard Bucks Campaign” to help defray the costs.  Both Garland and Saline County GOP organizations have agreed to share in the costs with HSVRW.
  • August 18 – HSVRW regular monthly meeting 10:00 a.m., Coronado Center.  Our featured speaker will be Secretary of State John Thurston.  SoS Thurston is running for re-election in the November 8 primary election.  The democrats are focusing on taking the states’ positions of SoS in order to control the voting processes in Red States such as Arkansas. This cannot happen!! We need your help!
  • September 15 – HSVRW regular meeting featuring Republican candidates running in the November 8 General Election.
  • September 22 – The HSV POA, Governance Committee is hosting a Candidate Forum at the Coronado Center from Noon – 6:00.  Both Republican and Democrat candidates will be featured.  This event is free.
  • September 23 – 24 – HSVRW will participate in this two-day festival sponsored by Village Hardware.  More details to come
  • October 10, Columbus Day – HSVRW will host the ALL-AMERICAN RED WAVE RALLY at the Balboa Pavilion.  Fun, Food, Festivities and hearing your Republican candidates as they enter the final stages of preparation for the November 8 general election.  BE PART OF THE BIG RED WAVE ACROSS AMERICA!!
  • October 11 – Last Day to Register to Vote in General Election
  • October 20 – HSVRW’s annual membership drive and last meeting prior to the November 8, election.
  • October 24-November 7 – Early Voting Dates
  • November 8 GENERAL ELECTION—THE RED WAVE RISES!

STAY TUNED FOR FURTHER INFORMATION AND DETAILS!!

Hope to see you Thursday, July 21!!

A Message from our HSVRW President . . . October 13, 2021

FALL IS IN THE AIR…
But a foul scent from Washington . . . !

Cooler weather, turning leaves, pumpkins, the anticipation of the upcoming holidays…yes, there is so much to be thankful for living in the great United States of America! Unfortunately, there is much frustration, concern, outrage, and fear mixed with these seasonal blessings. The Democrat-led U. S. Government is attempting to destroy OUR COUNTRY! We must stand up and speak up for our FREEDOMS! How we make a difference, you ask. Cast an informed VOTE.
The purpose of Hot Springs Village Republican Women’s Club is to promote an informed electorate through political education, participation, and election of Republican Party nominees.
2022 brings the federal, state, and local mid-term elections. The primary election day is scheduled for May 24, and the general election is November 8. Never in our nation’s history has it been more vital for the future of our country to elect strong, conservative Republicans to represent us, we the people. The election process begins now, right here at home!
Though election dates may seem far in the future, it’s not too early to start preparing.
Our program chairs, Lana Prosen and Diana Gilbert have been actively contacting candidates running for office in 2022, and inviting them to speak. Over the next eight general meetings, we
have numerous candidates scheduled to educate us on their plans and platforms.
Our September meeting featured local candidate Reagan Kyzer, seeking the Saline County Treasurer’s Office; and, John Thurston, current Secretary of State and candidate for re-election, shared his plans and platform of his candidacy.
In a surprise moment, our current Attorney General Leslie Rutledge popped in to say hello; she is running for Governor of Arkansas in 2022 and will be the featured speaker at our March meeting.
Our October 21 meeting is our Annual Membership Tea and Meeting. Be sure to come and bring friends!! The member bringing the most guests will receive her 2022 membership free!!
All guests joining will be eligible for a drawing featuring a free 2022 membership!!
Renew your membership and meet the future members of our Club.
We remain the largest Republican Women’s Club in Arkansas all because of YOU!!!
The featured speakers for this month include Ken Yang, GOP Saline County Chairman, Family Council’s Governmental Affairs Director, President of the Republican County Chairman’s
Association and political activist; State Representative Richard McGrew; and, State Senator Jason Rapert, candidate for Arkansas Lt. Governor.
Come, be informed, be involved, and be influential!! You may want to bring a notepad to jot comments and evaluations of the candidate(s) as they appear over the coming months.

See you Thursday, 10:00 a.m., October 21, Ponce Center, Ouachita Room…plan to arrive a little early to enjoy refreshments and visiting with other conservatives!!
Rita
